[Elsa looks a lot more subdued than usual - especially compared to her last video - when she begins recording, staring out the window of the little apartment she and Anna had begun renting for their stay in Goldenrod. It's snowing, this time with no help from her, and she's just watching the flakes drift lazily past.]

I know this may sound like an odd question, but... how do you go about celebrating things you haven't really acknowledged in a very long time? Birthdays, holidays, things like that... It feels strange to just go ahead and do it and act like the lack of celebrations in years past never happened. Wrong, almost, to completely dismiss such a long amount of time like that.

It seems rather difficult to make a special event even more special. Does that make sense at all?

[She's not even thinking about her own upcoming birthday (on the 21st!) at all. But Christmas is coming up... the first Christmas in thirteen years that the sisters will be spending together. She wants Anna's first real Christmas since she was five to be perfect, or at least as perfect as Elsa can make it. She just... has no idea how to do that.]

I agree, we can be pretty strange sometimes. But that's what makes people so interesting, I think.

My friends had a few....but I don't think it's quite enough yet.

You could always coordinate with others to ease the burden of responsibility. [ She encourages her to do this, to open up to others and to let them help without outright saying it that way. ] The result is the same in the end.

I can see why he'd think that. If you were working for so long... even if you don't realize it, stress builds up. So it's good to take a break every once in a while.

That would be a good idea... if I knew even the first thing about preparing food. [She laughs a little nervously.] I suppose I could practice when she's not home... it would have to be one or the other, though. I don't want to risk giving my poor sister food poisoning on Christmas.

And I don't see why you can't call this person your brother, even if you're not related by blood. There's a whole lot more to family than just that.

Hmm... Maybe. I'll have to hurry though, I imagine the reservations for the best places to eat are almost entirely booked for Christmas by now.

No, I'd rather not. Something like this... it needs to be a surprise. And I know she has friends, but I don't know how well they know her, so I'm a little nervous to ask... and besides, I don't want her finding out about all this.

Nothing. I haven't celebrated anything like this in over thirteen years. We were just children the last time we celebrated, and we've changed now, so...

I suppose... though I'm still not sure what sort of help I should be looking for. I know good parties always have music, food, and decorations... but is that really all?

[Plus, she's still not sure if she wants to make this a thing with people other than her and Anna. Still, it's a good thing to keep in mind for the future, so talking about it more can't hurt...]

Don't get over your head, you know? Start small. A friend of mine has started cooking since she arrived here; even if you can't cook a fancy meal, home cooked meals can mean a lot to a person.

Stress, huh? [Elsa, you are right for several reasons and that is one of them. Veronica had been working all her life, it was what she did. Long breaks like her sister wanted her to take were simply never on her mind.

And if not, Ecruteak's just a short trip away. Might give a more relaxing atmosphere, anyway.

Yeah, Goldenrod's great for that. Oh, and don't forget about making shit if money's tight or you can't find anything. Though I wouldn't wait on that unless you really like making things last minute. And I guess you've gotta be the arsty-craftsy type to do that in the first place. I dunno, I always enjoyed it when my brother made me stuff, but we grew up pretty poor.

Food is often the big thing here. If many people can bring their own favorite dishes, then you can share a little in their culture. [ That and Saber just really likes food, sorry Elsa. ] It is less of a burden on you to provide and everyone is pleased for the most part.

As for other things... you seem to have the basic gist of it down. Music, decorations, perhaps some games that could be played for those young at heart.

... Oh, right.... I completely forgot my birthday was coming up.
