[Elsa looks a lot more subdued than usual - especially compared to her last video - when she begins recording, staring out the window of the little apartment she and Anna had begun renting for their stay in Goldenrod. It's snowing, this time with no help from her, and she's just watching the flakes drift lazily past.]

I know this may sound like an odd question, but... how do you go about celebrating things you haven't really acknowledged in a very long time? Birthdays, holidays, things like that... It feels strange to just go ahead and do it and act like the lack of celebrations in years past never happened. Wrong, almost, to completely dismiss such a long amount of time like that.

It seems rather difficult to make a special event even more special. Does that make sense at all?

[She's not even thinking about her own upcoming birthday (on the 21st!) at all. But Christmas is coming up... the first Christmas in thirteen years that the sisters will be spending together. She wants Anna's first real Christmas since she was five to be perfect, or at least as perfect as Elsa can make it. She just... has no idea how to do that.]

I never had a reason to celebrate holidays before now. I don't think I could name most of them where I'm from.

It doesn't matter what your reason for not celebrating it is, the important part is being able to celebrate it now. I don't think there's any rule saying how a person needs to celebrate a holiday, you know?

Having a private celebration might even be preferable. I'm the kind of guy to go all out, but if that's not your thing, you shouldn't have a big party.

Normally, I would agree with you when you said that it doesn't matter what the reason for not celebrating holidays was. But... [How to say this without dumping too much personal stuff on a complete stranger...]

The reason why I haven't celebrated any holidays for most of my life was... bad. And I hurt people in the process of ignoring everything. So... I have to find a way to make up for that. Somehow.

[He understands better than she knows. The situation is entirely different, of course, but the sentiment is something Greed knows.]

Yes... my sister. One of those I hurt the most.

[He looks thoughtful. It's kind of a grave situation, isn't it?]

I won't ask what happened, but there's always a chance to set things right, I think. There's no reason making up for lost time has to be solemn.

Oh, that I know! If you were to ask Anna, I'm sure she'd say that there's nothing I need to do, and that she forgives me, and all of that.

But... even so. I've got to try to do something.

[Hmm. What to do? There's got to be something. It's not like Greed is very good at thinking about things like this, but he's certainly willing to help.]

What if you made a cake and a small dinner? I don't know anything about Christmas, but that's a good small celebration, isn't it? If it was between you and Anna and maybe a couple other friends, it should be nice.

I'm in a similar situation, actually. There's a person here-- I wouldn't call him my brother exactly, because we're not blood related, but it's been a long time.

That would be a good idea... if I knew even the first thing about preparing food. [She laughs a little nervously.] I suppose I could practice when she's not home... it would have to be one or the other, though. I don't want to risk giving my poor sister food poisoning on Christmas.

[Such little faith in yourself, Elsa....]

And I don't see why you can't call this person your brother, even if you're not related by blood. There's a whole lot more to family than just that.

I think it's the thought that counts.

[And surely buying something for Christmas dinner isn't terrible if you're in a rush, right? Greed doesn't think so.]

Don't get over your head, you know? Start small. A friend of mine has started cooking since she arrived here; even if you can't cook a fancy meal, home cooked meals can mean a lot to a person.

[He smiles, though. Despite his tough-guy appearance, the smile is genuine.]

You're right. It doesn't really matter if two people are related or not. Family is family, after all.
