The smile was already an excellent sign. The way it framed her face made her shine brighter than the lamp light in Cassandra's eyes. After a month of recovering from the things they had both been put through, it was almost mesmerizing... at least enough to catch Cassandra off-guard with a hug.
It's true that the last time they hugged wasn't under the best circumstances; they were exhausted, covered in blood, strained to the breaking point. A hug had been soothing, maybe cathartic after the turmoil, but not like this. This was soft, warm, brought on entirely as an expression of happiness, instead of Cassandra attempting to reach out to someone in need.
Someone she loved. Because that's just it. She loves Elsa. More than that, she's proud of her. Someone so reserved, but brave enough to survive this world, and come out stronger for it? She deserved that sword.
