Eighth Flake [Fourth Wall][Video/Action for Olivine CIty]

[It's snowing in Olivine City! Or, well. In an area of the beach a bit away from the city, that is. DETAILS. While not an odd sight if you're training a pokemon, the snow isn't coming from a pokemon; it's coming from the fair-haired young lady standing in the midst of the snowfall, arms sweeping back and forth as the flurries blow this way and that.

Most of her pokemon look on passively, having seen this display once before, months ago. But still they play! The ones who weren't around for the last show of Elsa's power are jumping about much more eagerly, rolling about in the drifts or happily snapping or swatting at the falling flakes.

Elsa herself, on the other hand, simply laughs and watches, flicking bits of snow at her companions every so often. She doesn't even seem to mind that Frigga grabbed her gear and is filming all of this right now.]

Perfect timing, isn't it? With how warm it's been, I'm glad I could help all of you cool off for a bit!

Oh, Elsa-- I would like that very, very much.

[defyingfrigidity]

[Elsa laughs a little.] Alright, then. Just give me one moment...

[With a swirl of her wrist, Elsa conjures up a small cloud, hovering just above Namine's head. It just drifts there for a moment before it begins to snow, gently enough so that the poor girl isn't completely covered with flakes. And should Namine try to move, she'll find that the cloud will move with her!]

There, how's that?

I'm sorry to hear that. It's rare that I meet someone who has difficulty controlling their ability...

[Mami trailed off, sounding thoughtful more than insulting.]

Ah--! I completely forgot to introduce myself! [Bowing apologetically, she gave Elsa an almost sheepish smile.] I'm Tomoe Mami.

Did you always have the ability to do this, where you're from?

Wow, Elsa that's incredible! [Look at how wide his eyes are; he is so impressed.] Hey, I should have told you--the egg you gave me hatched! [He pans the camera so Elsa can see Carlos' Amaura, who peers curiously at the screen.] I kept with the scientist theme and named her Curie, after a really amazing female scientist! She's really well-behaved too, although sometimes she can be a little shy.

[shatterings]

Oh!

[ Naminé looks up, spreading her hands out palm up. The snow's cold, but pleasantly so, and at least she's dressed in something more than the white dress she'd come here in. ]

It's wonderful. [ She steps to the side, just to see, and her eyes go wide. ] I didn't think it would move with me!

[defyingfrigidity]

I have, yes. Since I was born. I don't remember a time when I couldn't make at least a few small snowflakes fall.

[... O-Oh.] Is that so? Do you have a lot of help with your magic, then?

[Don't worry Mami, she doesn't seem offended. She even bows in return, a smile still lingering on her face.] It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Elsa.

I didn't know I could make it do that either, until recently! I had to help, a... ah. Snowman friend of mine.

[Geez has she never mentioned Olaf until now? Hopefully people won't think that's weird...]

Even in the middle of summer, it will still be able to produce snow, and it will help keep you cool.

T-Thank you! [OH MAN SUCH ENTHUSIASM just give her a second to push back the embarrassment. Thankfully, pokemon talk definitely helps.] Shy, hm? Funny, it sounds like she's already a bit different from her mother.

[There's a deep huff off-screen, and Elsa just laughs.] Oh, don't worry Skadi. That's not a bad thing at all.

Well...it's a little complicated.

[ha ha IS IT EVER]

But it is a pleasure to meet you as well.

Oh, believe me, I know complicated when it comes to matters of magic like this.

[HA HA HA.....]

Well, it's...hm, what's the shortest way to explain it? When we get our powers, they sort of become...'second nature' might be a good way to phrase it. Magical girls just know how to do what they can do, but it's up to us to determine how to use that ability most effectively.

[defyingfrigidity]

... Oh.

[Well. Elsa would be lying if she said she wasn't a tad jealous.]

You're very lucky, then. Magic in my world is extremely scarce, to the point where most just think of it as legend. I had to learn how to use and control my abilities all on my own.

[imperfectscientist]

[He smiles.] You're welcome. It's not every day you see such cool powers. I'm kind of jealous...but I suppose it's easier to study powers from the outside.

Don't worry. I'm sure she'll grow out of it with a little training. Right now, she's so young and she's just getting used to me and my other Pokemon. [Speaking of, Curie didn't miss the sound of her mother, even if it's a just a huff, and ventures over, making a curious little noise, and tilting her head at the screen.]

[defyingfrigidity]

[Jealous... h-hahaha, Carlos, if you only knew the full story, you probably wouldn't be...]

Well, if you ever want to know more, I wouldn't mind if you asked.

[Elsa notices the way Curie approaches, so she takes the gear from Frigga and moves over towards where Skadi is laying in a pile of snow. The sound the Aurorus makes is softer, leaning over her trainer to get a look at the gear.]

That's how a few of mine were, initially. Some of them grew into tough little spitfires.

Elsa! You're magic too?

[All of her friends are magic. This is so not fair but it's still amazing.]

[ Let's be honest, Naminé's definitely seen weirder. ]

He must be a very good friend. [ Her eyes widen just a teensy bit. ] Even when it's very hot?

That's amazing! I bet there's a special reason why, too.

Really? I'd love that! But uh, you're sure you wouldn't mind? I know some people don't like talking about their powers much.

[He grins.] Oh yeah? Well, guess I'll have to keep my eye on her, then! I'm sure she's going to turn out just fine though. [Curie gives a little bounce of excitement at the sight of Skadi. She's certainly got plenty of energy, even if she is shy.]

[Olivine was certainly a nice change of pace; they had gotten to the beach just in time for summer, and the weather had been perfect for Meridiana's show, but it was starting to set in just how hot it could get at around this time, with the weather pushing 90s all this week...as much as Anna loved the sun and the water, poor Elsa had been burning up at the mere idea of the sun peeking out past clouds.

So before Anna can even question her sister getting her powers back, she's leaping headfirst into a pile of snow, appreciating just how cool it is, like a nice cold blanket... There's a content sigh coming from what appears to be an enormous bundle of the white fluff, which wouldn't be unnatural-looking if not for the pair of legs sticking out, belonging to the energetic little sister buried underneath.]

It was so hot, I thought I was gonna melt...

[If there's one person that can get Elsa to break her prim and proper attitude, it's Anna's antics; she lets out a snort of laughter as her sister dives into the nearest snowdrift. With a flick of her fingers, a clump of snow falls to completely cover Anna's legs, as well.]

Good to know I can be useful in times like this.

Of course not. I admit, nobody's ever really studied my magic before, since my people are still fairly new to the idea that I have it in the first place... but if it's to help someone, I could give it a try.

[And Carlos is a nice guy. She can't really see him doing anything bad when running these studies.]

With a trainer like you, I'm sure she will be. [Skadi gives a rumble of agreement. She can definitely trust this human with her baby!]

[defyingfrigidity]

He is. A dear friend, and a reminder of when things were... simpler, I suppose you could say.

[Even though he was the snowman she and her sister built that fateful night, Elsa never once considers him to be a bad reminder of that night. Really, he was one of the few things that still linked them together....]

And yes! It could be a bright, cloudless day right in the middle of the hottest summer weather, and the cloud still won't disappear.

You say that like I'm made of magic... [Elsa laughs.] But yes, I have magical abilities.
