[This is new: a post from Elsa not in video. Normally she tries to use it as often as she can, since it helps her with talking to people without the intimidation of being face-to-face in person. But she's feeling kind of... not quite upset, but not like herself today. She'd rather not let that bleed into the video and audio, so for now, text it is.]

I just noticed the anniversary of a very important event in my life is almost here. The thing itself wasn't so bad - it was certainly something to celebrate at least - but the events that happened during and after it... they were more than a bit terrible.

[Yeah she's being kind of vague here. But only because she hasn't really told anyone about the whole "Eternal Winter" thing. And she's.... still somewhat afraid to. People know about what happened with Anna, yes, but if they knew she'd almost sentenced her entire kingdom to an eternal winter of suffering... would they act different towards her then?]

Even so, I... look back somewhat fondly on those days, despite the bad things that happened. Because even though bad things happened, a lot of good came out of it in the end.

Still... is that odd?

... A good way to try and cheer me up, but even so. Taking from the people just to have something for yourself and your family isn't something a benevolent ruler does, Anna.

Okay, okay, fine. I'll just replace all the taxes with chocolate, then, so then the people and I will be even!

... That... might hurt Arendelle itself, since the crown will have no money to spend on the things we need to spend it on...

[Okay yeah maybe her joke about Anna being queen wasn't very good...]

But the people'll be happier because they don't have to pay money! Sure, maybe we'll have to make some budget cuts and stuff, but we'll have all the chocolate we can eat, right?

[For a moment, Elsa just. Gives Anna A Look. A surprised, somewhat worried look.

And then... then she just laughs. Sorry, Anna, you gotta give her a second....]

W-what?! What's so funny, huh?! I think it's a great plan..!

[But it looks like she's got a case of the giggles herself...]

[Elsa shakes her head, still laughing.]

I-It's just... only you could so easily make jokes like this, when others would make it sound like something that could only end badly...!

I-I don't think it'd go that badly!

[IT SO OBVIOUSLY WOULD...]

It really would, Anna...

[Elsa's just. Still giggling a bit.]

Good thing we have a council that could talk you out of doing things like that...

Pssh, what do they know? They would clearly see my genius logic if they knew what was good for them!

Anna, they were the ones who more or less ran the kingdom before I was of age. If anything, they know more than I do!

[Thanks to Anna's antics, Elsa is still laughing, so the tender subject doesn't seem to bring her mood down at all...!]

Oh, please, no one knows more than you do. That's a just plain silly suggestion if I ever heard one!

Your faith in me never fails to surprise me, Anna.

[She laughs again, but it's... a bit more subdued this time.]

But honestly, what I didn't learn about how to rule a kingdom from papa I learned from them. They're much wiser than you seem to be giving them credit for.
