Eleventh Flake [Video/Action for Ecruteak]

... Well. Hm. This is new.

[Not the sudden chilly rush washing over her, and the return of the pleasant coolness in her gut that she now knows is the signal that her powers are returning. She's been through this twice now, and to be honest, she wasn't even going to bother doing much today, assuming she didn't get zapped off to some other city miles away like she's heard others complain about before. She was just going to go about her day, maybe make a few flurries for her pokemon to enjoy while they spent time outside, and just. Not bother with the network much.

But this time was different. Only a few minutes after she left the inn, she was accosted by a bird. And not just any bird. A rather large, elegant-looking blue bird. But instead of attacking her or her pokemon, it just sort of. Cuddled up to her.

And it still is when Elsa records this video. It's making soft cooing noises as it nuzzles the top of her head. The poor snow queen just seems absolutely bewildered, reaching up every once in a while to try and fix her mussed-up hair.]

I've... never seen a pokemon like this before. And it won't leave me alone? It's not aggressive, as you can tell, but every time I walk away, it just... keeps following me.

[And right she is. All throughout the day as she makes her usual rounds around Ecruteak and chats with residents and visitors, the Articuno is there with her, either following right behind her or perching on nearby buildings and watching over her.]

And we stopped them, didn't we? As if there was ever any doubt that we were going to, but we did! We totally would've wrecked that Aqua guy if that legendary whale Pokemon didn't wipe us out...

The wiping out part was without a doubt a large negative to that whole experience...

[She sighs, reaching up to run her fingers through Articuno's feathers.]

I just wish meeting more of the legendary pokemon could be like this instead of that.

It was still fun! Gosh, don't be such a stick in the snow...

[ Still, though, looking at Articuno like this certainly is a once in a lifetime thing... ]

...I guess I can't argue with you there, though. It'd be a shame if we had to fight a Pokemon like this one...

[He nods and sits down, doodling the bird in his journal.]

So it's big blue bird... what type is it? That might help with figuring out what it is. What do you think, Mabel?

[The Cleffa at his side blinks and looks up at the bird. She gives the bird a big smile and a wave. Hi! What are you?]

[ Good job dodging that bullet, son. Mako looks just a little more visibly relieved. ]

Thanks. Uh. I'm glad to hear it. [ how do girl. ] I'm Mako.

[At the word "fight", Articuno makes a worried noise, but Elsa is quick to shush it, reaching up to run her hand over the feathers on its forehead.]

I don't think I'd have the heart to battle a pokemon like this... it was one thing when it was Team Aqua and Team Magma, those two beasts looked like they wanted to fight. But you... [Scratch scratch scratch. Articuno settles down again, feathers fluffing up a bit as it relaxes.] I can't imagine you wanting to hurt anyone.

[Birds can't wave, obviously, but Articuno does spread its wings with a happy noise. With one light flap - just enough to ruffle Elsa and Dipper's clothes - a light flurry bursts forth, and Elsa can't help but laugh.]

Well. I suppose it answered that for you, didn't it?

[This place wasn't like anything back home or Nautilus even! Anna had gone to sleep in Bag End and woken up in a completely different world! She thought it was Helix at first, but it wasn't. Someone had called it Johto. The little otter thing walking around behind her was also a clue as to her not being where she should be.

As she walks around, the rather blue bird on the roof catches her attention.]

Olaf! Look! It's like a blue phoenix!

[ OH MY GOODNESS HOW CAN THIS THING BE SO PRECIOUS AND STILL BE REAL.. ]

It's too cute...I couldn't battle it if I tried, let alone try to catch it. ...I guess it kinda would throw things a little off balance if we could, though, couldn't it? Gosh, it's just the cutest...

[Dipper shivers, wrapping his arms around himself. His little Cleffa lets out a startled noise and tries to hide in her trainers vest.]

I-Ice type. Right.

I think that was sort of the lesson with Team Aqua and Team Magma. You can't try and control something that controls the forces of nature like this.

[Be friends with, however... Elsa can certainly stick with that. Especially with how gosh darn cute Articuno is being, all fluffed up like a five-foot-tall blue cotton ball.]

I have to admit, it's... very adorable...

[Elsa, of course, doesn't seem to notice anything is off here. Anna might, though; Elsa's hair is longer, her bangs hanging loose around her face instead of iced back into place like they usually are, and she just sort of... holds herself differently. More openly.

Okay, to say Elsa doesn't notice something different is somewhat of a lie, because she's looking at Anna's companion with one eyebrow raised.]

Hey... since when have you had one of those?

A pleasure, Mako. I'm Elsa.

[She bows a little, but when she straightens up, she raises an eyebrow. He seems a little... awkward.]

Are you okay?

[OH RIGHT COLD IS A THING NOW. WHOOPS.]

I-I'm sorry! I mean... we are. Right?

[She looks up at Articuno, who does indeed look a ashamed as a bird can be.]M.small>

[Anna's face falls flat. This was not who she was expecting to see here of all places. It was like a wish came true, but her sister looks different.

Who's kidding! Anna races over to her sister and hugs her tightly.]

Elsa! You're here! I missed you so much!

[She pulls away far enough to bounce on her feet.] I thought you'd come to Nautilus, not this place. And when did you change your hair? I like it! Though your other hairstyle was beautiful, too.

["We"?

.... come to think of it, this lady wasn't shivering... she didn't even look bothered by giant ice bird... could she be...?]

Are you a snow queen or spirit?

[That would be totally awesome.]

Silly, we just saw each other this morning!

[There isn't any hesitation at all when Elsa wraps her arms around Anna, and that might also be a hint that something is off here...

Of course, now it's Elsa's turn to be confused.]

Nautilus? Where is that? And my hair isn't... any different at all...

[A little bit ruffled because of Articuno's affections, but it's not that bad...!]

Elsa... I haven't seen you in months!

[Oh no... this is what Loki warned her about. What everyone else who knew her sister warned her about.]

You don't remember being in Nautilus? Korra said you might not, but I was kind of hoping you would... I guess I can't have everything, right? I can show you Bending!

... Huh?

[Could Anna have gone home at some point...? But no, the people who go home temporarily just... fall asleep for a while, don't they?]

Wait, you went somewhere with Korra? [Okay, now that's just bizarre. She, Asami, and Nonon definitely would've realized if Anna and Korra disappeared together for a while.] Oh, you don't need to get her to show me! I've seen it already.

Not at all! I met a girl named Korra there, and her polarbear dog, Naga. And Hiro, Tadashi, Crocker, and so many other people. Loki said he met you when you were there. And Miss Mary Poppins said you might Wake again one day and join me.

[She frowns, watching Elsa.] Elsa, I know how to Bend, too.

[Elsa opens her mouth, about to ask who some of these people are; Korra and Naga she knows, of course, and she's pretty sure she's heard the name Crocker on the network at some point. But all those others...?

However, before she could ask, Anna drops that bomb.]

Wait, what? [Did she... hear Anna correctly?] You... how?

[Look who's beaming now.]

I learned in Nautilus. You can Bend reality there, and it's a lot of fun. I'm good at Bending food and small things, but one day I'll learn how to Bend snow and ice!

... Anna, I have no idea what you're talking about. We've never been to a place called Nautilus. Magic, it doesn't... [Well hold on.] It usually doesn't work here. How can you say you can do things like that?

[And bending reality... god. That brings up some uncomfortable reminders of the fusion nonsense last month...]

So you really don't remember... [Magic not working aside.] Then let me show you! Hiro introduced me to a lot of things, like Godzila and gummy worms. So... have you ever had gummy worms or Hot Pockets?

[No chance to answer as Anna concentrates. Hey, that's a bag of gummy worms that just appeared out of thin air. Of course she's going to hand it to Elsa.] They're really good. If there's a microwave, I can make Hot Pockets, too.
