... Well. Hm. This is new.

[Not the sudden chilly rush washing over her, and the return of the pleasant coolness in her gut that she now knows is the signal that her powers are returning. She's been through this twice now, and to be honest, she wasn't even going to bother doing much today, assuming she didn't get zapped off to some other city miles away like she's heard others complain about before. She was just going to go about her day, maybe make a few flurries for her pokemon to enjoy while they spent time outside, and just. Not bother with the network much.

But this time was different. Only a few minutes after she left the inn, she was accosted by a bird. And not just any bird. A rather large, elegant-looking blue bird. But instead of attacking her or her pokemon, it just sort of. Cuddled up to her.

And it still is when Elsa records this video. It's making soft cooing noises as it nuzzles the top of her head. The poor snow queen just seems absolutely bewildered, reaching up every once in a while to try and fix her mussed-up hair.]

I've... never seen a pokemon like this before. And it won't leave me alone? It's not aggressive, as you can tell, but every time I walk away, it just... keeps following me.

[And right she is. All throughout the day as she makes her usual rounds around Ecruteak and chats with residents and visitors, the Articuno is there with her, either following right behind her or perching on nearby buildings and watching over her.]

The whole thing was fun! Come on, it might be a little bit hectic, but that's what makes it so great, y'know? Just this crazy scenario where anything can happen and the action is just, y'know, boom!

A little hectic? [Elsa laughs in disbelief.] Anna, they were trying to control beasts of legend to destroy everything! That's more than just a little, in my opinion!

And we stopped them, didn't we? As if there was ever any doubt that we were going to, but we did! We totally would've wrecked that Aqua guy if that legendary whale Pokemon didn't wipe us out...

The wiping out part was without a doubt a large negative to that whole experience...

[She sighs, reaching up to run her fingers through Articuno's feathers.]

I just wish meeting more of the legendary pokemon could be like this instead of that.

It was still fun! Gosh, don't be such a stick in the snow...

[ Still, though, looking at Articuno like this certainly is a once in a lifetime thing... ]

...I guess I can't argue with you there, though. It'd be a shame if we had to fight a Pokemon like this one...

[At the word "fight", Articuno makes a worried noise, but Elsa is quick to shush it, reaching up to run her hand over the feathers on its forehead.]

I don't think I'd have the heart to battle a pokemon like this... it was one thing when it was Team Aqua and Team Magma, those two beasts looked like they wanted to fight. But you... [Scratch scratch scratch. Articuno settles down again, feathers fluffing up a bit as it relaxes.] I can't imagine you wanting to hurt anyone.

[ OH MY GOODNESS HOW CAN THIS THING BE SO PRECIOUS AND STILL BE REAL.. ]

It's too cute...I couldn't battle it if I tried, let alone try to catch it. ...I guess it kinda would throw things a little off balance if we could, though, couldn't it? Gosh, it's just the cutest...

I think that was sort of the lesson with Team Aqua and Team Magma. You can't try and control something that controls the forces of nature like this.

[Be friends with, however... Elsa can certainly stick with that. Especially with how gosh darn cute Articuno is being, all fluffed up like a five-foot-tall blue cotton ball.]

I have to admit, it's... very adorable...

[ If only Mama and Papa took that advice, huh? ]

You know, you can talk to me all you want about taming Marlin and my other dragons, but leave it to you to make a legendary Pokemon into a precious little darling. I almost wish we could let it see the mountains back in Arendelle. ...I hear that it likes to rescue people that get lost up there...

I didn't even do anything!

[She laughs. You have so much faith in her trainer capabilities, Anna...!]

It... would have been useful, yes. You probably wouldn't have gone through half the trouble you had chasing after me if you had a companion like this- [Another scratch under Articuno's chin] - to help you.

That's the point! Like, you're such a natural, it just kind of flocks to you!

But that's definitely true. To heck with sledding up the mountain and climbing, if this cutie could fly me up to the top, I'd be there in seconds! Because heaven knows I probably would've been super lost if I went up by myself...

Maybe it just smells the ice on me, not my training talent.

[Articuno makes a cooing noise, but it's hard to tell if it's agreeing or disagreeing...]

And with this sweet one around, you won't have to worry about jumping off any sheer cliffs, yes?

Do you have to bring up the cliff thing all the time?! I get it, I jumped right off of one..!

[Elsa just crosses her arms.]

It was a several hundred foot tall cliff. Sorry, Anna, but I'm not letting you forget that for as long as you live.

The snow at the bottom was just like a soft mattress, I was fine!

Could you tell from that far up? How could you be sure it wasn't all densely packed at the bottom?

Look, I trusted my instincts and did what my gut told me to do! And I've grown as a person from it! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Anna, I'm not going to say that your intentions were bad. I'm the very last person that should be saying that, after all you did for me.

... But it was still reckless. Absurdly reckless.

Well, sometimes you gotta do a reckless thing or two! You stay stuck in the same place forever, you get the thirst for adventure, don't you?!

I... honestly can't say I've had that itch.

[Sure, she wanted to get out, but just out of her room, not really out of Arendelle. She was too busy with other things, after all.]

I like adventure now of course, thanks to being in this land so long, but I can't say I was too interested in traveling when we were growing up.

Oh, come on, Elsa, when you aspire to go to bigger and better places, it's like, go big or go home, isn't it?

Oh, that I can understand, yes. But I've just... never had the urge to do so. Don't forget, all I wanted to do when I ran away was hide out in the mountains alone for the rest of my life.

[She can't manage a laugh at that, but she shrugs a little.]

It's not exactly a "bigger and better place".
