[Cass!!! You're gunna kill her if you keep flustering your girlfriend like this!!]
Fine, but I'll bring dessert.
I think we still have some of the leftover blackberry pastries I took home from the cafe.
no subject
You're the best.
Meet you outside.
[Where she'll be waiting, wings loose and draped around her like a cape, almost obscuring the basket in her hand.]
no subject
[That's Elsa-speak for "no u". She quickly shuts her laptop before heading down to the kitchen, grabbing a few of the leftover pastries and carefully wrapping them in a nearby cloth. When she's satisfied that they won't crumble apart when set own, Elsa heads outside into the warm evening air, a smile crossing her face as she approaches Cass.]
Here. You should know better by now that I won't just stand by and let you do all the work, no matter how big or small the task. Even if it's just fetching these from the kitchen... I had to do something.
no subject
I know, I know, and I appreciate it. You grabbed the most important part of the picnic.
[She gently accepts the clothed bundle and slides it into the basket. Perfect time to unfurl her wings wide and let them stretch to their full length. That's not Cassandra showing off, obviously!]
Well, we're all set. You ready to fly?
no subject
She unfurls her own wings with a bit less flair, shaking them out a little; with how carefully she tucks them against her back or around her shoulders all day, they get a bit cramped sometimes. Just gotta stretch the stiffness out of these new limbs...]
I am. [She gives Cass a little bow, half joking and half proper.] Lead the way?
no subject
Gladly. [She returns the bow with similar flair. With the basket carefully secured under her arm, she steps back from Elsa, careful to not buffet her girlfriend too much with the force of her beating wings; Just a few testing flaps, before Cass crouches low and launches herself into the air with one mighty beat.
Not much acrobatics for this flight, but that was fine. It was a clear night, the moon was beautiful, and they could see everything for miles. Cass let herself surf on the air currents, occasionally letting herself glance over at Elsa, until they neared their destination.]
We're here.
Only ten minutes later did she signal out the sandy coastline off to the east of where they had to fly to reach the ferries. Positively scenic. Cass touches down lighter than her takeoff, ready to start unpacking.]
no subject
It's so... beautiful, up in the sky. The light of the moon is so different from the light of the sun, and makes everything seem almost... ethereal. Even Bavan, as brightly-lit as ever as they fly over it on their way north, seems so different under the moon's gaze.
When they finally land, Elsa lets out a somewhat wistful sigh, moving over to help aid in the unpacking and laying out of the picnic blanket.]
I think I'm going to miss that. Flying, I mean... I love being a nymph, but. These forms do have their perks, don't you think?
no subject
I'll admit, I didn't like the idea of being another monster, but gargoyles are pretty great after all. Don't let Eugene hear that.
[Her time as a bird had only lasted several hours, but this had been over a month; longer to get accustomed... and to miss it. She could hear it in Elsa's voice.]
Just too bad we don't know how long this will last. I'll miss it too.
[The blanket is spread out, the food is being unloaded... and Cass already has the blackberry pastries out. She offers one to Elsa, lopsided grin on her face.]
no subject
Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.
[Eugene's a wonderful man, despite how Cass often gripes about him. But he does tend to puff himself up a bit, so Elsa will probably avoid giving him another reason to.
As Cass finishes setting their little picnic dinner out, Elsa sits down on the spread-out blanket, tail wrapping neatly around her legs. When she sees the pastries coming out, though, she laughs again.]
So we're having dessert first, now??? You'll spoil your dinner that way.
no subject
Cass joins her on the blanket sitting opposite Elsa, with her tail necessarily left to lay out behind her.]
The way I see it, I'm already spoiled.
[C'mon Elsa, it's right there in the palm of her hand.]
Eh?
no subject
[Her tone drops just a little, to something a bit more... shy.]
I like.. I like making you feel special.
no subject
[Elsa looked downright ethereal in the moonlight, the glow setting off her white scales like they were a rainbow of color.
She inched closer.]
...I like making you feel special too. You deserve it.
[She reaches out her hand free to cup Elsa's cheek, and... wipe with her thumb at some of those crumbs from the pastry she just ate.
Then, Cass leans forward and kisses her.]
no subject
[Elsa giggles as Cass closes the distance between them, body relaxing at the first brush of Cass's lips against her own. It just feels so... right. Like this is something she should have been feeling for years now. Her sister's unconditional love was extremely important, yes, and it saved her in so many ways... but this? She never realized how mch she craved this.
She thought kissing Cass - kissing anyone, really - would set her on edge and flare up old anxieties. Though it may have been like that at first, not it's just... soothing>. Soothing, and a little exciting. It makes her want more.]
I love you.
[She told Cass she'll never get tired of saying that, and it's true. Even in the little moments like this, side by side and watching the way the moon glinted off the dark nighttime waters, she just can't keep it inside.]
no subject
She never thought she'd let herself have the chance to be in love. Here she was, being a regular romantic, like Eugene. It felt nice.]
I love you too.
[There was a buzz in her chest that leaves her lips ghosting over Elsa's before she kisses her again, deeper, less delicate than their oft-shared kisses. She wanted more of this. To hear Elsa say she loved her, letting her forest spirit know just how much she loved her back...
She shifts from beside Elsa to almost in front of her. One hand finds another, the other glides down from Elsa's face to find purchase on the other gargoyle's hip...]
no subject
Her hands reach up, gently gripping Cass's shoulders. Neither pushing or pulling, they're just... there for the moment. Her tail, meanwhile, uncurls from around her own legs, twitching back and forth]
no subject
The hands around her shoulders were a good sign, right? A sign that she could be a little bolder. One hand kept her upright as she bent over Elsa, the other... it needed something to do. Her fingers traced the hem of Elsa's shirt, finally inching underneath it, claws trailing lightly over Elsa's skin as she moved up to her girlfriend's chest...]
no subject
With a yelp she breaks the kiss, not quite shoving Cass back, pulling back just enough so that there's an arm's length of space between them.]
W-W-What... [She doesn't look disgusted or afraid! But there's a note of shock, of slight confusion, and a whole lot of embarrassment on her flushed face.] You- um. What was that?
no subject
In essence, the shove doesn't so much of anything, but Elsa yelping and pulling back is more than enough for Cassandra to immediately do the same. Eyes wide and looking for a problem, her hands palm-up before her.]
...I was just... I thought we were... [Not even the moonlight could hide her furious blushing, or her panic.] I-I didn't hurt you, did I?
no subject
No, of course not! I-It was... it was nice! But um... [Oh gods her face feels like a furnace. Is her magic acting up, or is she just blushing that hard?] I've... I've never been touched like that before...
[Please, whatever deity might be watching, just strike her down where she sits.]
It was... um. A-A lot.
no subject
I-I didn't know... [Never? No, don't focus on that. God, she feels like the dumbest person on the continent!!! Steam may as well have been pouring out of her ears with how hot she felt right now.]
I... guess I pushed it a little too far... [Cough] I'm so sorry.
no subject
[Her gaze drops to the blanket beneath them, shoulders hunching just a little as her tail returns to curling almost protectively around her shins. It would almost be funny, how similar it looks to how she normally hugs herself when she's nervous, but...]
It's just.... new, that's all. I-I wasn't expecting to feel... like that.
no subject
I wasn't thinking. I know about your hands, and...
[Oh, she is so stupid.]
If it helps, I... doing this sort of thing is... new to me, too.
[So, so stupid. But it's true. Though, Cassandra was nowhere near as repressed in her... sexual activities than Elsa was. A fact that's becoming clearer by the minute.]
