Fifth Flake [video/action for Goldenrod/4th Wall]

[When Elsa woke up today, she had known something was... different. There was a feeling inside of her that she hasn't felt in months now, a feeling she thought she'd never miss as badly as she did; the familiar him of magic was buzzing under her skin for the first time since she arrived in this land, and instead of dreading that feeling... Elsa smiles. Gathering her things, and without waiting up for Anna, she leaves the Pokemon Center, heading to the north end of Goldenrod, where she knew a small park was, not far from the gates of the city.]

Alright... time to wake up, everyone. I've got something to show you!

[With a quick toss, Elsa releases her team - Snowball, Skadi, Freya, Frigga, Idunn, and Surtr. All of them look curious and eager at Elsa's words, and while Elsa sets her bag down and looks around to make sure that there's nobody in the immediate vicinity, Surtr grabs her pokegear and pokes at it until it turns on.]

Okay... ready?

[After a chorus of agreements from her pokemon, Elsa grins, takes a deep breath, and raises her arms.

For those watching in person, they might notice the weather dropping, even more from its already chilly state. And when snow suddenly appears surrounding Elsa and her little group, it might not seem like too much... except none of her ice-types are moving. In fact, they all look quite surprised.

With a flick of her wrists, Elsa commands the snow to swirl around her in a light flurry. Her smile brightens as another twist of her wrist sends the flurry outward, the flakes multiplying until the ground surrounding Elsa is covered in several inches of snow.

Elsa is grinning like a child now. Just one more test to see if she really does have control after this long... it takes a bit of focus, but she wills the snow to move and shape itself, to breathe, and before the eyes of her pokemon (and human) onlookers, an icy replica of a Charizard - not just a Charizard, but the strange new form Nova had taken in the battle against Archie - spreads its wings and lets out a roar as clear as the real thing..]

Even after all this time, after being so out of practice... I can still control it.

[She looks absolutely overjoyed. Like nothing in the world can bring down her good mood. And her pokemon sure seem to share her enthusiasm, judging by how most of them immediately leap into the little snow drifts surrounding them.]

[Ordinarily, of course, someone might be more than a little shocked to see powers like that at all, let alone to see them honed to the point where she could make it take a form like that nearly effortlessly. Anna, on the other hand, is positively thrilled to see Elsa with her amazing magic again. After all, it was a shame for her to have lost those special abilities of hers just when she was finally starting to come to terms with them.

Watching her work, though, one wouldn't think that she lost them for a second; she's moving so naturally and controlling the snow with such fluidity that it's like she's been doing this sort of thing for years and years, and the icing on the cake is just how happy Elsa looks when she does it. Anna doesn't remember it consciously, but somewhere in the back of her mind, she knows that smile of Elsa's; it's the same enthusiastic smile she used to have when they were just kids playing with ice in the middle of the ballroom in their castle...and seeing that smile again, knowing that for so long her sister's thought of these beautiful, beautiful powers of hers as a curse, is almost enough to bring a tear to Anna's eye. But it doesn't, because she's too busy packing the snow into a little ball...and chucking it right at her sister's back.]

[Elsa may have complete control over snow and ice... but that doesn't exactly make her any more perceptive than a normal person. As she watches her pokemon play, she doesn't hear the crunching of snow under Anna's shoes until it's too late, and she lets out a surprised yelp when the snowball hits her square between the shoulders.

Spinning around to see just who her attacker is, her look of surprise quickly melts into a grin, and her eyes narrow playfully.]

Anna, I don't think that was such a good idea.

[Anna just laughs when she hears Elsa's little yelp; she always was a pretty good shot with a snowball, after all. But that look of determination in Elsa's eyes makes it clear that her first shot wasn't about to go without a fight...]

You gonna make me regret it, then, or am I gonna have to throw another?

Oh, I'll make you regret it-!

[And with a wave of her arms, Elsa summons a snowball of her own - though it's... less of a snowball and more of a snowcannonball.

... Hope you know how to dodge well, Anna, because that's coming right at you.]

[She's so impressed by the size of it that she almost forgets to for a second, diving right into the snow to avoid getting pegged by the enormous snowball!]

Alright, that does it, this means war!

[Elsa crosses her arms, grin still on her face. Cocky, isn't she?]

You would do well not to pick fights with the queen of ice and snow, little sister.

[As well she should be! After all, there's a pretty obvious advantage here...still, Anna has a tendency to try to play against impossible odds.]

Well, that makes me the princess of the ice and snow, and consider this a challenge for your title, then!

[She says, scrambling to make a fort...]

[Elsa just. Doesn't move from her spot, even as Anna scrambles to set up her defenses. She even waits for her sister to finish!]

Oh my. Is this treason? Anna, what will all the people back home say!?

[How merciful of her!]

Probably something along the lines of "Long live the Queen"? Don't worry, after I beat you, I'll make sure to pass down plenty of stories of your bravery!

[...Unfortunately, the fort is relatively measly compared to one of those snow cannonballs, but hey, it doesn't hurt to try!]

[Oh yes, Elsa can see just how pitiful Anna's snow fort is. But she's not going to point that out. Anna's gotta learn from her mistakes, right?]

Wow, no mercy at all? It's a fight to the death, then?

[Look, it's not like she wants Elsa to give her too much of an advantage!]

To the figurative snowball death, yes!

[.... but you're gunna need every advantage you can take, anna...]

That sounds good to me! I'll let you make the first move, then.

[She'll be fine, don't worry!]

Fine, but when you lose, don't blame it on you giving me the first shot!

[And so, the first snowball is thrown!]

For Arendelle!

[With an upward sweep of her arm, a wall of snow shoots up to block the snowball. When it descends again, Elsa looks a little upset!]

That should be my line! I'm the one defending my throne, after all.

Then why don't you say it and throw one back, then, instead of sticking to defense?

[Not wasting any time, she'll throw another as the wall fizzles out...]

[Ohhhh, trying to taunt her, huh? Well, if that's what you want, Anna...]

For Arendelle! [She actually dodges the snowball this time, and as Anna reaches down to pack another one, Elsa flings her arm forward, a snowball materializing from thin air and shooting straight towards Anna.]

[Anna tries to be a little bit fancy and throw her freshly-made haste snowball at the one heading straight for her, in hopes that they'll intercept one another's trajectory and overall look really cool when they collide with one another.

...It doesn't work, and Anna takes a shot square to the shoulder.]

This has only just begun..!

Oh, really?

[Another wave of the hand, and this time three snowballs materialize in thin air.] Are you sure you don't want to surrender? I promise, I'll be lenient.

What a ridiculous question! You of all people should know that I don't give up until it's over!

[But three snowballs...there's no way she'll be able to dodge all of them at once, is there?

...Well, it can't hurt to try! There's one more snowball coming Elsa's way, but..]

Yes, but you trust your sister, don't you? That means you should listen to me when I say that this is a battle you can't win.

[Aaaaand Anna's shot is a miss. Elsa brings her hand up, and pauses.]

I'll give you one last chance to surrender, Anna!

It's not done until it's done! Give me your best shot!

If you say so...

[As Elsa's hand falls, the snowballs shoot forward. One heads directly at Anna, while the other two swoop around, coming at her from the sides. A three way attack!]

Oof!

[It's as Elsa said; she didn't have a snowball's chance, and so, down she goes, defeated...she's fine, of course, but if she's going to go down, it's going to be as dramatic as possible, so she's just going to lay on her back, sinking softly into the snow.]

I guess you got me after all...

[For one split second, a bolt of panic lances through Elsa when Anna falls, her mind flashing back to that night over thirteen years ago in the ballroom...

... But she's pulled back before her mind could swirl any further around that event when she sees just how dramatic Anna is being, and she rolls her eyes, letting out a somewhat shaky laugh as she walks over towards her sister.]

I suppose this is where I say "I told you so"....

Go ahead, you beat me fair and square...you're still the snowball fight champion of the world...

[She looks up at her sister from her spot in the snow, with her hand covering an imaginary wound a ways off from where the snowball actually hit her. After all, if it was to be a fight to the figurative snowball death, she'd be remiss if she didn't play out the part.]

But today was the day I almost beat you...
