Eighth Flake [Fourth Wall][Video/Action for Olivine CIty]

[It's snowing in Olivine City! Or, well. In an area of the beach a bit away from the city, that is. DETAILS. While not an odd sight if you're training a pokemon, the snow isn't coming from a pokemon; it's coming from the fair-haired young lady standing in the midst of the snowfall, arms sweeping back and forth as the flurries blow this way and that.

Most of her pokemon look on passively, having seen this display once before, months ago. But still they play! The ones who weren't around for the last show of Elsa's power are jumping about much more eagerly, rolling about in the drifts or happily snapping or swatting at the falling flakes.

Elsa herself, on the other hand, simply laughs and watches, flicking bits of snow at her companions every so often. She doesn't even seem to mind that Frigga grabbed her gear and is filming all of this right now.]

Perfect timing, isn't it? With how warm it's been, I'm glad I could help all of you cool off for a bit!

[ Someone's looking rather happy! That makes both of them, at least. When the display is mostly done, Naminé claps her hands quietly, smiling. ]

That's wonderful, Elsa.

[defyingfrigidity]

[Elsa jumps a little, more out of surprise that she didn't notice anyone behind her than surprise that someone saw her using her powers. There's a smile on her face when she turns around, though, so all is well.]

Thank you. It's been a few months since the last time this happened, so I thought I'd be a bit rusty, but... it all came back very fast.

[shatterings]

[ More than the weather, Naminé is happy to see her in such high spirits. ]

I'm not sure exactly what is happening-- [ or how she woke up this morning feeling a lot emptier than she's gotten used to ] --but I'm glad you're happy. And your Pokémon, too.

[defyingfrigidity]

I'm not sure what exactly is going on either, but something like this happened a few months ago. It was harmless back then, so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about now.

So... I suppose I just want to enjoy it while it lasts.

[shatterings]

Mm.

[ She stoops down to gather up some of the snow, packing it into a snowball and just... looking at it. ]

I've never seen snow before.

[defyingfrigidity]

Really?

[Now that just seems... so alien to Elsa. Arendelle may not be the kingdom the furthest to the north, but it does get snow quite often...]

Were you living someplace very warm, or...?

[shatterings]

Mm... not really.

[ How to explain this... she goes with the explanation that'll garner less questions. ]

Twilight Town never saw any snowfall. Neither did the place I lived in before.

[defyingfrigidity]

[To be fair, several things about their meeting in her dream raised questions, but. Elsa of all people knows when not to prod, so she doesn't.]

That's sad... even if I wasn't connected to it as I am with these powers, I don't think I could ever imagine a land without snow...

[She frowns, but quickly tries to replace it with a smile.] I could show you, if you'd like. What a real snowfall looks like.

[shatterings]

[ Her eyes widen at that, and she nods, clasping her hands together. ]

You wouldn't mind? Really?

[defyingfrigidity]

Of course I don't. If I can use my power to help instead of hurt... how could I say no to that?

[shatterings]

Oh, Elsa-- I would like that very, very much.

[defyingfrigidity]

[Elsa laughs a little.] Alright, then. Just give me one moment...

[With a swirl of her wrist, Elsa conjures up a small cloud, hovering just above Namine's head. It just drifts there for a moment before it begins to snow, gently enough so that the poor girl isn't completely covered with flakes. And should Namine try to move, she'll find that the cloud will move with her!]

There, how's that?

[shatterings]

Oh!

[ Naminé looks up, spreading her hands out palm up. The snow's cold, but pleasantly so, and at least she's dressed in something more than the white dress she'd come here in. ]

It's wonderful. [ She steps to the side, just to see, and her eyes go wide. ] I didn't think it would move with me!

[defyingfrigidity]

I didn't know I could make it do that either, until recently! I had to help, a... ah. Snowman friend of mine.

[Geez has she never mentioned Olaf until now? Hopefully people won't think that's weird...]

Even in the middle of summer, it will still be able to produce snow, and it will help keep you cool.

[shatterings]

[ Let's be honest, Naminé's definitely seen weirder. ]

He must be a very good friend. [ Her eyes widen just a teensy bit. ] Even when it's very hot?

[defyingfrigidity]

He is. A dear friend, and a reminder of when things were... simpler, I suppose you could say.

[Even though he was the snowman she and her sister built that fateful night, Elsa never once considers him to be a bad reminder of that night. Really, he was one of the few things that still linked them together....]

And yes! It could be a bright, cloudless day right in the middle of the hottest summer weather, and the cloud still won't disappear.

[shatterings]

He must be a very good reminder, then.

[ Naminé nods, mostly to herself. Many of her good memories haven't come from before this place. ]

I've never encountered magic like this... [ She's still completely in awe of Elsa--most of the magic she's seen is destructive or healing. Nothing like this. ]

[defyingfrigidity]

... Really? What sort of magic are you familiar with, then?

[shatterings]

Well... I suppose that wasn't the best way to put it. [ Pause. ] It's more like... I've never seen anyone use magic in this way.

[defyingfrigidity]

[That... certainly has a sort of ominous feel to it, doesn't it?]

How do you normally see magic being used?

[shatterings]

Well... either to destroy things, or... heal others.

[ Mostly to destroy things. ]

[defyingfrigidity]

Such extreme opposites.... it must have been difficult, living in a land like that.

[shatterings]

It... wasn't as difficult as it was for some of my friends.

[ Downplaying her experiences? nahhhh. ]

[defyingfrigidity]

[... Oh. Well. That... kind of has some sad implications...]

I'm so sorry...

[shatterings]

[ She's a little perplexed about the apology; Naminé blinks, then shakes her head. ]

Oh-- you don't need to apologize, Elsa. I... should be the one apologizing. For darkening the mood.
