Second Flake [video/Action for Violet City]
[The Elsa that appears on the video today is a much, much calmer Elsa then was last seen at the beginning of the month. In fact, she looks very relaxed, lounging by the shore of the lake just outside of Sprout Tower. By her side is a new addition to her team; a Lapras, very young if its smaller size is anything to go by. It seems to be dozing off, its head resting in Elsa's lap. She's gently stroking the creature's neck, a soft smile on her face.]
I have another question. This one, thankfully, is on a much less distressing note.
[SHE'S STILL SORRY SHE PUT THAT NEAR PANIC-ATTACK ON YOU ALL LIKE THAT....]
Does keeping Pokemon in those balls of theirs for long periods of time... hurt them or upset them in any way? None of the locals here seem too concerned about such a thing, but even so... I can't help but worry a bit. I try to keep mine out of their balls as much as possible, but I'm afraid that might not be very doable with this one, once Anna and I start traveling again...

So... it's not magic of any kind?
no subject
I mean, I have magic, but for whatever reason that got turned off when I arrived...
no subject
Strange, but nice. The kind of nice that makes you smile really brightly.]
I think that happens to everyone. I had magic too, where I came from... but I haven't been able to do anything since arriving here.

I'm so sorry to hear that. But I suppose... there's a silver lining in that, don't you think? That you can feel touch again?

I can't even begin to understand what your experience must have been like, but I can somewhat understand the joy of being able to touch things again. For the longest time, I had to wear gloves. [Her expression falls again, but only briefly.] And touching things just wasn't the same.
[She holds a hand up, wiggling her bare fingers.]
But now I don't have to anymore, and after more than a decade, it feels rather nice.

Why'd you have to wear gloves? Was it too cold out there? Nya ha ha!
no subject
I, ah...
[She hesitates. It's... difficult to talk about this. She wants to be more open now, and talking to another person who wields magic certainly helps, but... she's still a little ashamed.]
I couldn't control my powers very well, growing up. So I had to hide them. The gloves helped with that.

When I was a kid, I barely even knew my magic was a thing, much less how to use it. So when this bunch of grown-ups killed my friend, I was soooo mad that I pretty much just exploded and killed 'em all right there!
[He looks far too happy about this. If it's any consolation, though, the smile is fake.]
no subject
Elsa looks mildly horrified at that but at the same time... sympathetic. Because while she never killed anyone, she almost did. Several times. Anna, the Weselton guards, probably some of her own guards if she hadn't snapped out of it when she was fighting off those two...]
That... that was always my biggest fear. Hiding my magic and myself away for a long time stopped anything like that from happening, but... I've come close, several times. I'm... so sorry you went through that.
[Even if he's smiling about it and talking about it like it's not a big deal, Elsa knows too much about hiding yourself behind a mask to believe that event hasn't affected him in some way.]
no subject
Nah, I enjoyed it! I mean, I'm pretty sure I didn't even like them too much in the first place, anyway. Everyone in that village was really no fun at all. [Note his use of the term 'pretty sure'. It was a long time ago, and he's done a lot of subconscious memory suppression in the years following, so his recollection of the event is foggy at best.] But yeah, it felt good! It was like they were burning from the inside out! And it's not like they didn't deserve it, sooooo...

After all, if someone had killed Anna, Elsa honestly can't be sure how she'd react. Or how her power would react out of her control. Aaaand she's not going to think about that because YEAH THAT'S A TERRIFYING THOUGHT SHE'D RATHER NOT ENTERTAIN.]
What do you mean by that? Did they do any other awful things before they killed your friend?
no subject
[All his friends at that age were animals.]
Well, maybe "friend" was the wrong word... she was kind of more like my mom.
no subject
... Oh. [Elsa was "lucky", in that her parents died in an accident. But to have a parental figure murdered...] I... I'm so sorry. Nobody deserves to lose a parent in such a way.
[She's saying sorry a lot, and she's afraid it's going to come off as fake, but man, as odd as he is, her heart's really aching for this poor guy.]
no subject
[He smiles again, a little awkwardly.]
--But, hey, look at me just dragging this whole thing down, right? Silly me. [He knocks his palm against his forehead, jumping at the sudden sensation of feeling-- and then giggling again.] Still not used to this whole 'senses' thing!
no subject
She laughs at his surprise.]
I'm sure you'll get used to it quickly!
no subject
Like, I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be this... sensitive.
no subject
I was told it happened because I wasn't used to being outside and around other people, so I was more sensitive to sickness. Maybe something like that is happening with you?
no subject
...What kind of sick?
[HENRY]
no subject
... And I think I made it snow inside for most of that time. That was embarrassing.
no subject
[Look how disappointed he is.]
no subject
I... I'm sorry for disappointing you...?
